Portugal left-back Nuno Mendes feels he is destined to play at the Munich Arena, having won the Champions League with Paris Saint-Germain last week, and most recently helped his homeland beat Germany 2-1 to reach the Nations League Finals.

Mendes assisted the winner in the 68th minute to สมัครสมาชิก UFABET วันนี้ รับเครดิตฟรีทุกวัน beat big man Cristiano Ronaldo and keep the Selecao in contention for their first title since 2019. Of course, the youngster strutted his stuff and boasted that the 75,000-capacity stadium in Bavaria was like his backyard.

“I think we played a very good game, especially defensively,” he told UEFA TV.

“We know how to manage difficult times, manage the game really well. We knew from the beginning that the opponent intended to have the ball and then find space to attack.”

“Germany had a lot of good players but we held on tight and fought back with quick counterattacks.”

“Last night, we scored two goals that we should have scored more. For example, Francisco Conceicao had a right foot shot at the goal but missed the shot.”

“But we are satisfied with winning the game. Now we can focus on the next match.”

The 22-year-old also added that the moment of Champions League glory at the Munich Arena a few days ago still reminded him of his return to the same stadium.

“It’s a stadium full of good memories,” Nuno added.

“Recently, our club PSG won the Champions League here – and last night beat Germany in the Nations League final.”

“I think it was a great game no matter who the opponents were – we are Portugal and we play to win.”

Since his senior international debut in 2021, he has made 36 appearances and provided six assists.
